Vintage 1940s Wicker and Celluloid Basket Purse

This is such a sweet wicker purse!  The medium-brown wicker is woven with slightly rounded corners and attached handle.  The celluloid lid was lovingly hand-decorated with metal and plastic flowers and leaves and rhinestones and hand-painted vines.  The lining is a beautiful old-style floral print with a built-in side pocket.

Condition      Overall very good.  The wicker is in excellent condition.  On the lid, some of the embellishments have fallen off or chipped and a bit of the paint has faded.  The lining is in good condition - showing light, normal wear.   In my opinion, the wear to the embellishments only adds to the charm and certainly doesn't affect it's use.
