Vintage 1940s Beaded Velvet and Tulle Evening Dress

The beading on this late 40s dress is exquisite!  Black velvet bodice with dense grey and black beading over the shoulders and at the neckline.  Fitted bodice with a semi-full, A-line floor length skirt.  The skirt has two layers of tulle - a black layer over a white layer - to create a tonal grey.  The bodice is unlined; the skirt is lined with black acetate.  Side metal zipper.

  CONDITION:  Overall good - very good.  The dress presents beautifully with just a couple of issues to note.  There are two small hole repairs on the outer layer of the tulle skirt (see photo).  These are visible, but can get lost in the folds of the skirt.  The inner, white layer of tulle has age darkening, but it is really difficult to detect through the outer black layer of tulle.  Otherwise, the dress shows light, normal wear.  Priced Accordingly; Sold As Is.
