Comme des Garçons Spring 1996 Colorful Skirt

A rare colorful piece from Rei Kawakubo's Spring 1996 "Kaleidoscope" collection. Known mostly for working in black and white, this collection showed Kawakubo's range in working with an explosion of color.

Lightweight, slightly sheer polyester in geometric shapes of bold color. Asymmetrical hem. Side zipper.  Made in Japan.  Sourced in Paris.

Documented on the Spring 1996 runway layered with other colorful pieces. Worn by Stella Tennant.
