This crock-style bowl has so many uses: a salt cellar, a mortar for hand-grinding herbs and spices, a nut dish, a chip-dip bowl, a sage burning dish, a soap dish, a trinket dish, etc. It has an unusual rounded interior bottom. Light-toned glaze over stoneware. Shows lots of love and wear. From the early 20th century (probably 1930s) and sourced from an old southern Appalachian mountain home.
