Vintage 1930s Black Satin and Wool Swing Dress

This is one of our favorite semi-formal late 30s dresses.  Lightweight, black silk satin on the bodice and a medium-weight wool for the skirt.  The bodice has gathering down the front that makes the bodice sexily drape over the bust.  The same gathering accents the short sleeves.  The peaked, fitted waist has a back belt.  The A-line skirt is gored with expandable seams right at the knees for easy of movement.  Unlined.  Side metal zipper and a back neck zipper.
