Vintage 1930s Black Crepe Tangerine Beaded Evening Dress

We love the Art Deco styling of this 30s evening gown.  Lightweight black rayon crepe.  Simple bodice with cap sleeves.  The cap sleeves are covered with a larger over-sleeve that is trimmed with tangerine orange and silver beading and lined with contrasting silk.  Straight skirt with intersecting, diagonal seams of bias cut panels that make the skirt skim the body and hand beautifully.  Side snaps.  Matching beaded belt.  Unlined.

  • DETAILS:
    Label:  none
    Fabric:  Rayon crepe
    Circa:  1930s

    BEST FITS:  M (see measurements)

CONDITION:  Overall very good - excellent.  The dress shows extremely light, normal wear.  The only thing to note are some patched/reinforced holes in the silk peek-a-boo lining of the over-sleeves.  This isn't seen when worn because a past owner tacked the bottom of the sleeves closed; they can b opened at the bottom for a more 'wing' effect if you prefer (but the repairs to the lining will show).  Priced Accordingly; sold AS IS.
