Vintage 1920s Silk Day Dress with Matching Floral Coat

Colorful, summer 20s day dresses are so rare...and this one has a matching jacket!  The dress is a lightweight, ivory silk crepe and the jacket is a floral print silk.  The dress is an iconic flapper style with a straight silhouette and a drop waist.  The bodice has an insert of the flowers found on the jacket with fagoting around them.  It also features shoulder pleating and a rolled neck.  The skirt has stitched pleating with bands of color and fagoting at the bottom.  The over-jacket is an open style.  The dress slips on over the head with no additional openings, so your measurements will need to be slightly smaller than those of the dress.

  CONDITION:  Overall excellent.  The dress set is in remarkable condition for its age and shows only very light, normal wear.  There is a bit of very faint underarm darkening on both pieces (see photo).  The jacket has a small amount of color bleed on the back (see photo) and a few small runs in the fabric.  This set is very wearable, but, as with any garment of this age, it should be worn with care.
