This late 1910s hat is definitely a conversation starter! Tightly woven, black straw with a mass of various, small millinery flowers in the front. The crown of the hat is asymmetrical to add even more interest. The short brim has an under-lining of tan silk chiffon. The shape of the hat is actually oval (rather than the usual round). Lined with black silk.
