A classic late 1920s evening dress! Black crepe de chine with lace trim and inserts. The silhouette is the iconic flapper style - straight and slightly loose. The flutter sleeves extend around the back to create a cape effect. The upper bodice is lined with nude crepe and accents the black lace overlay. There is an attached bow with milky white glass beads on the ends. The skirt has a subtle A-line and handkerchief hem with lace inserts. This lovely dress slips on over the head with no additional openings, so your measurements need to be smaller than those listed. Fully lined.
Best fits: S/M (see measurements; keep in mind the straight, loose fit)
Condition: Overall excellent. The dress is in amazing, wearable condition (especially considering its age). There is a crack in one of the glass beads on the tie. There are two holes in the lining at the back near the neckline; these are hardly noticeable from the exterior (see last photo). There are some well-done repairs to the lace in the skirt. Because the dress is homemade, there is some asymmetry on the front of the bodice between the lining and shell. Because the asymmetry is black-on-black, this isn't terribly noticeable unless you're up close or looking for it. Priced accordingly.
