Vintage Early 1920s Swimsuit Tunic Dress
While this piece was originally a swimsuit (and had bloomers - now missing), it makes an amazing modern Deco dress! Lightweight black silk faille. The shoulders have zig-zag buttoned seams. Tapering silhouette that has a modern mini length. There are decorative panels at the hips. This cool 'dress' slips on over the head with no additional openings.
Label: Edna Hiss (probably homemade)
Fabric: Silk faille
Circa: Late 1910s / early 1920s
BEST FITS: XS/S; keep in mind the loose fit (see measurements)
CONDITION: Overall very good. The dress shows normal wear with just a couple of issues to note. There are three small light spots on the front of the skirt (see photos), a very small hole repair on the back shoulder, and general wear. The tie/scarf that went through the front was damaged beyond repair, but it can be replaced. It still presents beautifully despite these minor issues.
