Vintage Early 1940s Embellished Blue Velvet Party Dress

Lightweight, soft silk velvet in the most beautiful shade of blue (more brilliant than the photos show).  Sequin trim on the bodice with gold embroidered flowers on the waist.  Ruched, puff sleeves.  Wide fitted waist with a slightly blouson bust.  Full, gathered skirt.  Attached back buckle cinch belt.  Bias cut fabric, so the dress hangs beautifully.  Unlined.  Side metal zipper.
