This 1950s dress would be the perfect summer 'weekender' dress! The fabric is a thin, lightweight white cotton with a tiny yellow and brown floral print. The shoulders angle toward the neck slightly, almost hinting at a halter style. There is pleating on the upper front. The skirt is flat over the upper hips and then becomes very full past the zig-zag gathering on the lower hips. Side metal zipper.
NOTE: This lovely dress was photographed with a crinoline, not included. Also, it may require your favorite vintage slip.
DETAILS
Label: none (probably homemade)
Best fits: XS (see measurements)
Circa: 1950s
Condition: Overall very good. The dress presents beautifully, but does show some signs of wash wear (although the colors of the flowers are still vivid). It appears to be homemade and may have a few, expected inconsistencies in stitching. There is also a faint scuff on the lower side of the skirt. Missing original belt. Priced accordingly.
